JOBSCOPE
Production Management for JOBSCOPE
Barcode Labor Collection Module
DATACAP is JOBSCOPE’s web-based plant floor data collection and barcoding system for labor collection, time and attendance tracking, and material transactions. Using DATACAP, Engineer to Order, Make to Order, Job Shop, Government Contractor, and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul, employees follow simple prompts to scan bar-coded information that is used to create transactions, which are uploaded to JOBSCOPE. This greatly reduces the burden of data entry, provides more timely information for management, and enhances accuracy through DATACAP’s use of bar-coding and extensive verification procedures.
Project Scheduling for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul
Employees use DATACAP by scanning bar-coded work orders and employee badges into handheld devices or PCs. This data is sent over a network to a PC server running DATACAP. Here, the enterprise resource planning system tracks the time spent on jobs, performs calculations, and organizes the data into records. The process is completed when these records are uploaded to JOBSCOPE.
Jobscope Manufacturing Software Bar Code Data Collection Features
- Reduces data entry errors
- Provides current availability of data
- Provides exact distribution of labor charges
- Online supervisor approval
- Verifies data online
- Allows automatic breaks
- Provides flexible overtime
Engineering Module
Jobscope’s Engineering subsystem is designed for Engineer to Order (ETO), Make to Order (MTO), Government Contractors, Job Shops, or Maintenance Repair and Overhaul manufacturing companies and takes up the design process where the CAD system leaves off and carries it through to the Project Management subsystem. The Jobscope Engineering subsystem is intended to allow the design engineers to do their work in the CAD system and then pass the work off to someone else who takes care of creating new part numbers and bills of material.
Engineering Manufacturing Software Features
- Links supplier part numbers to company part numbers
- Maintains Drawing masters, drawing items, and drawing revisions and loads drawing items from the CAD system
- Creates Engineering Releases and ECNs
- Processes Part Revisions and generates Model Effectively
- Maintains Outside Processing details
- Allows multiple selling prices and cost arrays per part
- Maintains part inspection methods
- Links documents electronically
- Defaults disposition for repair
- Allows multiple routings per part
- Allows mass changes for bill of material components
Production Planning and Scheduling Module
Jobscope manufacturing software Production Planning and Control enables Engineer to Order (ETO), Make to Order (MTO), Government Contractors, Job Shop, or Maintenance Repair and Overhaul manufacturing companies to translate Engineering information into activities for actually accomplishing the work. Production Planning and Control receives the engineering information in the form of engineering releases. The engineering release contains engineering release line items, or lines, which identify the drawings, bills of material, and other data that are being released. Some of the release line items, or lines, require routings to be created. This is done in Production Planning and Control.
Jobscope Manufacturing Software Production Planning Features
- Creates shop work orders from the planning work order(s)
- Purchases the item or items on the planning work order(s)
- Designates that the planning work order(s) is covered on another engineering release
- Designates that the planning work order(s) will be superseded by another release (such as design engineering errors)
- Substitutes an alternate item
- Combines the planning work order with an existing work order
Shop Floor Control Module
JOBSCOPE manufacturing software Shop Floor Control module is designed for Engineer To Order (ETO), Make to Order (MTO), Government Contractor, Job Shops, and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul manufacturing companies. Functionality includes labor collection transactions, scheduling of operations, work orders, and releases, and shipping with automatic invoice creation. Employees on the plant floor can follow simple labor collection prompts in our DATACAP system to scan barcoded information that is used to create transactions that are uploaded to JOBSCOPE. Our Scheduling system allows you to maintain calendars of planned activities for work centers. You have the ability to assign an operation with a beginning and end time, and the block of time for the operation is reserved in the appropriate work center. The Jobscope Shipping subsystem provides an effective means of identifying and shipping items ready for delivery to customers or outside processors.
Jobscope Manufacturing Software Shop Floor Control Features
- Provides time and attendance tracking
- Reduces labor collection data entry errors
- Verifies data online
- Allows the creation of automatic breaks
- Creates calendars for work centers
- Provides multi-resource scheduling
- Adjusts schedules
- Downloads scheduling data to Microsoft Project
- Allows you to firm the schedule of an operation, work order, or release
