JobBOSS² has a unique and compelling company story, as the ERP system was originally developed by two manufacturers, Rich and Greg Ehemann, back in the 1980s. Through their love of computing and mutual experience as manufacturers themselves, Rich and Greg discovered the key strategy to grow their own manufacturing business was the need to track the profitability of each job through their job shops. E2 Shop ERP System was literally created out of that need in their job shop in Cincinnati, Ohio, over 36 years ago.

Now JobBOSS² , this cloud-based ERP software system coordinates all aspects of job shops, from estimating, scheduling, data collection, inventory, purchasing, shipping, quality control, and financial accounting. Bar Coding

Employees can also post material at the data collection clocks or PC. Barcode your material and have the employee post the material as it is used. Automatic break buttons so that employees can go straight to lunch without having to walk over to the clock to log out of jobs. Prevent employees from logging on to steps if the previous steps haven’t been worked on. Eliminate user error by making sure the right time goes to the right step. All of this time entry is real-time so that when a customer calls looking for their job, all of the information is up to the minute.

Bill of Materials

JobBOSS² manufacturing software can handle multiple levels of BOMs, both purchased parts and manufactured parts. JB² also has material calculators to help calculate how much material is needed to fulfill job requirements for customer orders.

Handheld/PocketView

PocketView is real-time labor reporting, Hot Spots, messaging, inventory transfers, and inventory adjustments all rolled into one. The PocketView software runs on a Pocket PC handheld device. PocketView gives users the ability to walk the shop floors yet still have access to critical business information.

Inventory Control

Whether you need raw materials or finished goods, theJobBOSS² System handles inventory and purchasing in a snap. Each part or material number can be stored alpha, numeric, or with special characters. In addition, each inventoried item can be stored in multiple bin or lot locations. When inventoried items are allocated to a job or finished goods are sold from inventory, JobBOSS² stores the history of where the raw materials or finished parts were pulled from. This eliminates the guesswork when quality control becomes an issue.

Inventory Management

JobBOSS² can help manage all of your material with reorder levels and multiple bin locations with costs at the bin level. Tracking inventory can be managed from a LIFO, FIFO, Standard, and Average Cost basis. Inventory adjustments can also be made through our count sheets or our mobile application, PocketView.

Lot and Serial Control

JobBOSS² ERP system has lot and serial tracking for both raw materials and finished goods. Serial numbers can be populated throughout the system. Lot traceability can be added at any point in the system as well.
